What is Soar?
SOAR Bakersfield is a one‑week, immersive local mission experience designed to help students grow spiritually, discover their purpose, and step boldly into serving the city they call home.
SOAR Bakersfield is a one‑week, immersive local mission experience designed to help students grow spiritually, discover their purpose, and step boldly into serving the city they call home.
Grow Spiritually
Students will dive into daily devotions, worship moments, and team challenges designed to stretch their faith and deepen their walk with Jesus. Throughout the week, they’ll learn to hear God’s voice, respond to His leading, and grow in confidence as young disciples.
Serve Our Community
Participants will partner with local organizations to meet real needs through hands‑on outreach projects across Bakersfield. From serving families to supporting the local church, students will experience what it means to live out the gospel in practical, meaningful ways.
Build Community
SOAR creates space for students to build lifelong friendships as they serve, grow, and experience ministry side by side. The week includes shared outreach moments, team challenges, and a special team‑building day at Six Flags that brings everyone together in unforgettable ways.
