Chris has been in full-time ministry since 1994. He has led organizations and churches in Canada, North Carolina, and now, Bakersfield. Chris graduated from Providence Bible College & Seminary in Manitoba where he met his wife Rebecca. They have been married since 1995 and have 2 grown daughters, Hailey and Cassidy. Chris believes that life should be lived to the fullest as prescribed in John 10:10. He loves leading the church and also loves spending time outside and doing activities that are “high-energy” and adventurous

It is a most awesome and humbling experience to lead worship with God's people, the bride of Christ. When we worship together, the Holy Spirit moves us to accomplish things that are impossible with man, but possible for God.

Stepping into the role of Children's Director and Communications Director is a true blessing, and my heart is to help every child and family feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. I am passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for children to grow in their faith while using communication to bring our church family closer together, celebrate what God is doing, and encourage everyone to take their next step with Christ. 

Serving in Heritage Kids is such a joy for me because I truly believe God calls us to love and guide children in their faith. Each week I get to share God's truth with tender hearts, encourage them as they grow, and remind them that they are deeply loved by Jesus. Heritage Kids isn't just a ministry - it feels like a family, where children can feel safe, cared for, and inspired to live out their faith. I feel blessed to play even a small part in planting seeds that God will continue to grow for His glory.
