Seven Letters of Revelation 3 Pergamum 1

We continue in the book of Revelations with Chapter 2:12-17 and the letter to the church in Pergamum.

Jesus congratulates the church for remaining true to His name, but they are far from perfect. They have started to slip into compromise. They were starting to conform to the culture around them and that culture was a mess. Jesus even says that the city of Pergamum was where Satan lived and had his throne!

Jesus challenges the church to repent, or Jesus will come down there and fight the ones leading the church astray!

The challenge is clear to us and our church.

Don't worship idols (we'll explain what that means for us).

Don't conform to an immoral culture.

Bottom line: Stay true to Jesus and you will have the spiritual strength to overcome.
