Thyatira, the tolerant church

Revelation is so relevant for our time because it’s about faithfully following Jesus in a sinful and divided world.

This message is from Revelation 2:18-29 and the letter to the church in Thyatira.

The church in Thyatira had started out well. They were doing good deeds, serving and loving people. But they began to tolerant sin because it came in a new, shiny, and attractive package. Their tolerance earned them one of the hardest rebukes from Jesus of the 7 churches.

Bottom line: Love and serve people. Don’t tolerate what lures them away from following Jesus.
